1903 Alden Times
A quiet home wedding was celebrated on News Years day at the E.B. Pritchard home when Mr. B. C. Snyder add (sic) Miss Jessie Miller were united in marriage. The ceremony was performed by Rev. C.N. Lyman at 2 o'clock in the presence of a small company consistng of relaives and a few special friends of the contracting parties and after a dainty luncheon the guests departed while the happy young couple went to the newly fitted home which was already to receive them in the new house just built by Fred Harms. Bert and Jessie are two of our most popular young people, and all their friends will wish them the happiest of happy New Years any (sic) many returns of the eventful day. Bert has long been the fireman on the C.I. & D. and is a young man of sterling integrity and genuine worth. The bride has been with us only about a year and since coming here has made her with her aunt Mrs. E.B. Pritchard, but during that time has won many friends among her associates and is sure to be a charming hostess of the new home that has just been established. A happy New Year to Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Snyder.
