HAMILTON HERITAGE HUNTERS is a county genealogical society, a chapter of the Iowa Genealogical Society, not a surname organization.
Meetings are scheduled monthly, except December. Most are held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month, at the Kendall Young Library, 1201 Willson Ave., Webster City, IA. Changes in time or place are announced on KQWC and in the Daily Freeman Journal, which is available online. Two regular changes are October for a dinner meeting and May for a trip to a genealogical library.
Dues cover January through December and include quarterly newsletters and one hour of research for new members if requested.
Genealogical resources are a part of the genealogy collection at Kendall Young Library, 1201 Willson Ave., Webster City, IA. Their hours are Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Fridays 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A microfiche reader, microfilm reader/printer and photocopier are available.
Research requests (put HHH in subject line if e-mailing questions) are fulfilled by members as time allows and always need to be accompanied by SASE. A donation of at least $10.00 per hour is requested, one hour minimum, plus cost of copies, currently $ .15 per page.
