This originally was built in the mid
1890's to be used as a college. It operated that way for about 10
years and was then closed due to financial problems. It later was used
by the City as the High School building for a few years. Then it was
sold and a new high school was built on the "school"
property several blocks away. This building was torn down and a home
was built in its place by Alex Green. The street where this building
was built is now called, you guessed it! College St.
