This is a shot of the Canning Co about mid 1940's. It
operated until 1977 canning sweet corn & asparagus. In 1982 the
property was sold to Pioneer Seed Corn Co. The original building was
torn down and a warehouse was built to store seed corn. |

This shows the Presbyterian &
Methodist Churches on Broad St. The M. E. Church burned down in 1955.
The Presbyterian Church still is at this location, except that there
have been some additions built on to it. |
This is a photo taken of the main street
in Grundy Center. The cars appear to be of the early 1940's. The little
box in the center of the intersection is a sign that says No U Turn. |
This is the courthouse as it stood prior to 1891. The present
courthouse was built in 1891. |

This is a Carnegie Library. This part of
structure is still in place, but a new addition was built on to the rear
of the building several years ago. The elm trees are no longer there.
This postcard was mailed in 1920. |
This is the M. E. Church as it was before
1955. In Oct. of 1955 it burned down. It was located on the N.W. corner
of Randall & Broad St., now the residence of Harold Robertson. The new
church was built several blocks away on the South edge of town, on the
N. E corner of West & Spruce St. |

| Birds eye view of Reinbeck. Probably
dates from early 1900's. Photo may have been taken from top of water
tower because that appears to be the School building as it is now
located on Blackhawk St. |
This depicts the street scene at the old
potato days celebration. That celebration is no longer a part of the
activities in Reinbeck. From the apparel worn, this must have been taken
in the very early 1900's. |
This is the Presbyterian Church pretty much
as it is today, except that it also has been built onto on the back side
of the building. It sets facing Broad St. This photo has to be from the
1930's or so. Possibly older because the little tree by the stairs is huge now, probably 16 or 18 inches in
diameter. |

This scene is looking North on Broad St.
On the left in the background is the United Church Of Christ, on the
right is the Presbyterian Church, behind the trees which is no longer
there. |
Written on front of card is: Sam Breese Draying in Reinbeck. Age
unknown, well before 1949. |
Wilson & Co Produce went out of business in
1953. This building is still in use. It now
houses Farmers Feed & Supply. |
