Killed in the Argonne, October 14th. Buried in Grave No. 2-I, Map of Kreimhilde, Stellung. Corporal Webster was hit in the chest by a piece of high explosive shell, dying almost instantly. He was one of the most popular members of the company and had many friends throughout the regiment. Webster was a cartoonist and had drawn many cartoons of incidents in his trench warfare experiences. Graduate of Maquoketa High School. Had his B. A. Degree from Des Moines College. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Webster, Central City, Iowa.

Private Newton was advancing with his squad when he was struck with a machine gun bullet and died a few hours later. He had served throughout the Lorraine Campaign, Champagne, Chateau
