      Killed July 26, 1918 at Chateau Thierry. Buried in Grave No. 3-A, Map of Conde-en-brie. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hollister, Mapleton, Iowa. Private Hollister was killed while taking a telephone to the advanced battalion. A shell burst in the midst of the men of the telephone platoon of the Headquarters Company, killing Private Hollister almost instantly. He was a fearless Soldier, good Companion and ready to do all he could do for the cause for which he was fighting.

       Killed July 26, 1918 at Foret de Fere near Chateau Thierry. Buried in Grave No. 5B, Map of  Conde-en-brie. Son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Van De Mark, Everly, Iowa. During the Lorraine Campaign he was slightly wounded, but returned to the company and served through out the remainder of the campaign and also through the Battle of Champagne.
