The Adair News Adair, Iowa 12 April 1918

The Third Liberty Loan Drive for Adair and Summit townships came to a close last night. At noon the total for Adair town and Summit Township was at $72,540.00. Of this Adair contributed $54,550 and Summit Township $17,900. Wednesday evening the newly organized German-American Patriotic Association held its first meeting at the opera house, President A. J. Eggen presided and handled the meeting with admirable results.
