CHARLES H. BARNES

WILL GO TO FRANCE.

Charles H. Barnes, son of Mrs. Ed Prentis, who is a member of Co. B, First Iowa Infantry, located at Fort Des Moines, writes that his regiment has received notice that they will soon receive orders to leave this country for "somewhere in France."  He is much elated at the prospect of a trip across the Atlantic followed by service in France.
