DISCHARGE FROM DRAFT.

 

To All Whom it May Concern:

       This is to certify, That   Herman Landt, Serial #1662 order #2115  #4265364 is hereby Discharged from the military service of the UNITED STATES by reason of Flat Feet and Pronated. Prior to enlistment.

 

      Said  Herman Landt  was inducted into the service from the jurisdiction of the Local Board of Elkader, Clayton County, Elkader, Iowa on the 26th day of August, 1918.

       

    While this certificate discharges the person named herein from his present obligation to serve in the Army, it does not operate as a permanent bar to his subsequent entrance into the military service. Under Section 5 of the Act of May 18, 1917, all registered persons remain subject to the draft unless exempted or excused as in that Act provided. Therefore, this discharge does not exempt the holder from obedience to the process of Exemption Boards.

                              Given at Camp Funston, Ka., this 30th day of August. 1918.
