Know ye  That     John H. Kean

Private of Company I of the 49th Regiment of Iowa Infantry Volunteers, who was enrolled on the 25th day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety eight to ser two years or during the war, is hereby discharged from the service of the United States, by reason of muster-out of regiment..

          

NO OBJECTION TO HIS ENLISTMENT IS KNOWN TO EXIST

 

The said John H. Kean was born in Bergen in the State of Minnesota and when enrolled was 19 years of age 5 feet 11 1/2 inches high, dark complexion brown eyes brown hair and by occupation a blacksmith

 

Given at Savannah Ga., this 13th day of May 1899.
