Frank Lewis Orr
Frank Lewis Orr was born Sept 9, 1885 in Maquoteka, Jackson, Iowa. He died sometime after 1947 in Ohio. Frank was the son of Melvin Thomas Bailey Orr, born 1859 in Clinton, Clinton county, Iowa, and Margaret Lucinda Schafer born Oct. 7, 1864 in Jackson county, Iowa.  Melvin died March 26,1922 in Brooklyn, New York. Margaret died March 8, 1889 in Jackson county, Iowa.

Frank was adopted in 1904, by William and Flora Yates of Farragut.   Frank lived in the Fremont County area for several years.  He registered for the draft for World War I, and later while living in Illinois, registered for the draft for World War II at the age of 56.

At some point Frank received some college education.  Census records show completion of 3 years of college. He was a civil engineer. July 9, 1947, Frank married Grace B. Myers in Dayton, Ohio.  I don't find any children from this marriage. Frank filed a couple applications for enrollment to sons of the american revolution. Those records show detail info about Franks ancestors going back to the 1700's.
