Wife of the lst Mr. Mead.


Mrs Talbert Mead, who has been sick for some time with
dropsy and heart trouble, died last night at her home, one
mile from Payne Junction. She had been a resident of Fremont county,
Iowa for the past forty years or more, and was quite well known.
She was a sister of Mrs. T. B. Stevenson, of this city. She leaves
a husband, eight sons, four daughters and a large number of
friends to mourn her loss. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning
the cortege reaching this city about l O"clock, and the internment will
take place in Wyuka cemetery.
