Mrs. Christopher Keyser

 -27 April 1914

Mrs. Christopher Keyser  died at her home in Percival on April 27, and was buried the following Wednesday. She and Mr. Keyser were the first white couple ever married in Fremont county. They were married in 1851 and lived practically their whole lives on the same farm. When they were married and took up the thread of life in this then pioneer west, the county was almost wholly occupied by Otoe and Pawnee Indians. Mrs. Keyser was the mother of 12 children. Nine of these are alive and all were at the funeral service.
