This office received a letter this week from A.J. Kaiser of Edgecomb, Wash. Mr Kaiser is one of the pioneers in this section, coming to Hamburg in 1856. In 1894, he left for the black hills where he lived for about eighteen years and from there moved to his present home in Washington. He lived for many years in Atchison county and on September 22, 1867 was married to Frances E. English.
-
Mr Kaiser says that he still has a warm spot in his heart for Hamburg and her people, although many that he knew have gone over the river to the undiscovered country from which no traveler returns. We are always pleased to hear from former Hamburgers and it is a kind of news that many of our readers thoroughly enjoy.
