SOLDIER DIED IN IRAQ At this time we all need to be thinking about our soldiers in Iraq. Unfortunately, I heard of the death of a young man from Hamburg, Iowa on Omaha [Nebraska] news and Sheila Roush from Farragut, Iowa has supplied this information about him: "Here is the information I was able to get from the Shenandoah paper. May 30, 2003 Pvt. Kenneth A. Nalley, 19, a soldier with the 501st. Military police Company, died. According to the United States Command Center website, two soldiers were killed and and one injured while traveling down a main supply route northwest of Talil [Iraq] on May 26. A tractor-trailer collided with a high mobility, multi-purpose wheeled vehicle. Nalley, a 2002 Hamburg High School graduate, had a dream of becoming a military policeman. Nalley is survived by his mother, Roberta Brooks, and siblings, Danny, David, and Diane.' |
