Mead Family Photographs

    These are photographs of the Mead/Keys families,  some of the early settlers of Fremont County.  The first Talbert Mead and his family settled in Fremont Co. about 1867-68. He owned most of the river bottom land in Benton Twp. and some in the Washington Twp. in the late 1800s. The second Talbert Mead married the daughter of Alexander Keys that also settled in Fremont Co. abt. 1870.

Our home South view

This is the home of Talbert and Sarah Keys 
Mead. He built it in the late 1920s or early 
30s. It is the home that is behind the new 
development on highway 2 by the

interstate.
