Fremont County, Iowa Coretta "Jo" (Smith) Whitten was born in Riverton in 1931 to Kimber Smith and Rose (Cowles) Smith. She moved out to California in the 50s and returned to the area in the 70s and lived in Nebraska City until her death in 2015. She was married to Evart Merritt Whitten (1929-1998) and they had 5 children. |
