Obituary for Emma Angeline Harris Lord, Rites Thursday for Mrs. Lord

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, at the Fassbender funeral home for Mrs. E. Angeline Lord who died at 3:10 a.m., Tuesday at the Duff Nursing home. Mrs. Lord had been ill several months. The Rev. H. W. Theimann will officiate and burial will be at the Grand View Cemetery, Knox, IA.

Mrs. Lord was born May 12, 1876 at Krkland, Indiaba, the daughter of Benjamin and Harriet Harris. She married Frank Lord December 30, 1896 at Nebraska City. Mrs. Lord who came to Nebraska City in 1879, formerly lived at Percival, Iowa. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Sligar, Griswold, Iowa., and Mrs. Naomi Frankes, Percival; two sons, Asa Lord, Payne, Iowa., and Sturgis Lord, Peoria, Illinois; three sisters, seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Her husband died in 1934.

Pallbearers will include Carl, James and David Sligar, Carl Humbert and Robert Lord.

Obituary for James Franklin (Frank) Lord: Percival Farmer Dies at Hospital
James Lord, Resident of Iowa All His Life Was Ill Several Months.

James Franklin Lord, 60, native of Percival, Iowa died at St. Mary's hospital here at 11:56 o'clock Wednesday night after an illness of several months. Complications were given as the cause of death.

Mr. Lord became seriously ill on May 15, 1934, failed steadily until his death.

He was born December 7, 1873, the son of Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Lord of Percival. On December 30, 1896, he was married to Emma A. Harris, who survives him, in Nebraska City. He has followed the occupation of farming all his life.

Mr. Lord is survived by four children, Mrs. David Sligar, Westboro, Mo., and Mrs. George Frakes, Asa E. Lord and Sturgis A. Lord, all of the Percival neighborhood. Four brothers, one sister and four grandchildren also survive.

Mr. Lord was affiliated with the Assembly of God religious faith and had been township clerk of Benton township, Fremont county, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at the home near Percival at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with Mrs. Inez Ferrias minister of the Gospel Tabernacle here, in charge. Burial will be in Grand View cemetery near Percival.

The body was removed to the Fassbender funeral home in Nebraska City.
