Naomi Frakes, 100, died on Friday, Aug 15, 2008 at her home in Nebraska City surrounded by her family. She was born Dec. 25, 1907 in Percival,
the daughter of Frank and Emma A. (Harris) Lord. She married George Frakes on July 27, 1932 at Holton, Kansas.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Cornerstone Church and had a deep love for Jesus.
She is survived by her daughters; Nadine Frakes, of Nebraska City and Chris Jordan and husband Jerry, of Bellevue; grand-children Angie Carvell and husband Joh and their children,
Victoria Christine and Alexandra Michele, and Brandon Jordan and wife Katie and their children, Alexis Michele, Cean Scott, Kaelan William; other family and friends.
She was preceeded in death by her husband George on Dec 28, 1986 and two brothers, Asa and Sturgis, and a sister, Ethel.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with the Rev. Rob Connor officiating. Burial will follow at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. Family visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m at the Gude Mortuary.
Memorials may be directed to Cornestone Church, Tabitha Hospice or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation.
