DEATH OF MRS.
RALPH O'NEAL.
~~~~
The
community was deeply shocked Friday to hear of the sudden and
untimely death of Mrs. Ralph O’Neal. Many of her friends did not
know that she had been sick for she had been up and around in her
usual good health just a day or so before her death.
Effie Gertrude Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer L. Moore, was
born July 17, 1896, at Hamburg, Ia., and passed away September 25,
1931, at the age of 35 years, 2 months and 8 days. The greater part
of her life has been spent in, or near Hamburg. She was married to
Ralph O’Neal on December 11, 1918. She united with the Baptist
church of Hamburg in the spring of 1919. She leaves to mourn her
departure, her devoted husband, two children, Mary Kathryn and
Richard Elliot, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Moore, and three
brothers, Victor, Fred and Harry Moore, besides a host of other
relatives and friends. Mrs. O’Neal was truly a good Christian mother
and companion, loving her home and her family. Her time was always
their own. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
Funeral services were held at the Mt. Olive church Sunday afternoon
at 2 o’clock, conducted by the Rev. Horace A. Larsen, and interment
was made in the cemetery at that place. |
