Monroe-Old Lutheran Cemetery
(Monroe Township)
Monroe Cemetery is one-half mile north of the east side of Imogene. Originally the west acre of the cemetery was German Lutheran.
Around 1900 that portion was given to the Monroe Township. Some of the earliest graves are inscribed in German.
The land
was originally donated by George Tutschenritter. Later a gift of land was donated for expansion from John and Sarah Haley.
