Warranty Deed for Chambers Cemetery,  Submitted by Danette Hein-Snider


Warranty Deed; 25 July 1866; 343

Know all men by these present that we Ezekiel Chambers and Polly Chambers his wife of the County  of Fremont and State of Iowa in consideration of the public good and for the purpose of a graveyard do hereby sell and convey unto A. J. Singleton, S. W. Atkinson and Bartlett Clem the following described premises, situated in the County of Fremont and State of Iowa to wit:

Commencing at the Northwest corner of the N E quarter of section No 13, Township 69 Range 41 west, running south with the half section line 13 rods, thence east 13 rods, thence north 13 rods to the section line thence west 13 rods in the place of beginning, said grantees being trustees of Chambers ~ (graveyard) being sold to them and their heirs forever. 
And we hereby covenant with the said Trustees that we hold said premises by good and perfect title, that we have good rights and lawful authority to sell and convey the same, that they are free and clear of all liens and encumbrances whatsoever. And we covenant do warrant and defend the said premises against lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. 

And the said Polly Chambers hereby relinquishes her rights of dower in and to the above described premises.

On this 11th day of June A.D. 1866 before me TM Gordon a Justice of the Peace within the said County personally came Ezekiel Chambers and Polly Chambers his wife personally and are known to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above instrument as Grantors and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and did witness my hand and seal the day and year above written.
