Mr. & Mrs. Phillipson came to Iowa about fifty-five years ago, locating in College township. Mrs. Phillipson's maiden name was Margaret Howe. She was born in Tipperary county, Ireland, March 9, 1834, coming to this country in 1851 and locating in New York state. In 1857 she was united in marriage to Mr. Phillipson and shortly after came to this vicinity where she had since lived.
