General Sully said of this Unit, "A better drilled or disciplined company than the Sioux City Cavalry can not be found in the regular or volunteer service of the United States."
We thank this unit and the Troopers who comprised the
1863 Prairie Army for bringing Peace to Northwest Iowa,
Western Minnesota and the Dakota's.
