I am searching for
information about my g-grandmother--Eliza/Elize/Elizabeth
Marie BRENNER, born May 10, 1861 in Burlington, Iowa. Her
brothers were: Oscar, Edward, Lewis, Charles and Arthur. She
married Edward August ramseier in 1881, unknown place. She died
May 25, 1950 in St. Joseph, Missouri. I would very much like to
find the name of her parents. Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Don, Can you tell me the name of anybody that does genealogy for the Danville area. I'm looking for somebody that could go to the court house and search for the deed into JEREMIAH PACKWOOD's homestead, probably in 1848, the year they arrived at Burlington -- by boat from Indiana. He was shown on the 1850 Federal Census living in Pleasant Grove Township. The Packwoods are buried in Carter Cemetery -- four miles north of Danville. Their properties must have been very near Carter Cemetery -- as the Packwood families are shown living close to the Carters -- for whom the cemetery is named. I would appreciate hearing from you in this regard, and grateful for your assistance. Thank you. With every good wish, Dotte Schneider Lake of the Ozarks
Dear Mr. Kelly, Is there a "Danville Township" in Des Moines County? I am familiar with the village of Danville, but if there is also a Danville Township -- where is it in the county? Is there a map showing the townships? Thank you. Best regards, Dotte Schneider

1850 Census that was listed as part of Burlington. When was this
area switched over entirely to IL?
Where does one find records about people in this area? Are they
in Oquawka or Burlington? I believe this area may have covered
Gulfport and down as far as Christal Lake area. I remember my
grandfather PENDRY talking about how the river used to be just
west of his house back before they build the levees and drained
the bottom land. Could it be that Burlington claimed this land
and area back in the late 1800's? Any info about these questions
would be appreciated. Thanks
