At a young age her mother died 1878 and she was sent to live with the family of William Ritchie, who left Mason Co. KY 1843 and moved to and later died and was buried in Burlington. Anne became ill and was sent home to Point Pleasant, Clermont, OH where in 1901, at 36 years of age, she died. She was never married. Does Burlington have a list of teachers back then? I have a letter written to my grandfather by a Doctor in Burlington, who stated that Anne was in ill health, beyond help, and he was sorry he could not help her further. He did name the medication he prescriber for her. I have also seen a photograph of her that was taken in a Burlington studio. She was very pretty.
