QryText:PORTLOCK, Warren 26, Mary 26, William 7, Artematia? 5 and Henry 1 are listed in the 1860 Census in Pleasant Grove, Des Moines Co. In 1870 there is only Mary, William and Henry in Pleasant Grove. There is a Warren in Missouri with a wife "Jane" and no children. I am seeking additional information on this family, such as: Is there any record of a divorce between 1860 and 1870? Is there any record of the death of Warren, either in records or local cemetery? Did Warren serve in the Civil War and fail to return home, only getting as far as Saline Co., Missouri? In 1878 my husband's gr-grandfather married Sephronia Story in Shreveport, LA. Warren Portlock only appears in any census in the whole country once in 1860, 1870, and 1880. The 1880 is in Colorado with Sephronia and two children. I am seeking to either make the connection with Warren in Des Moines Co., Iowa, or eliminate that possibility because our Warren died in California in 1901. Thanking you in advance for your help. QryText:WETZLER, NORTON Seeking information about the family of Katherine WETZLER (1832-1896; m. WALES). She was b. in Lancaster Co., PA and settled in Burlington, IA c. 1856. Her mother was probably Anna WETZLER (maiden name unk.; c. 1798-1876); probable siblings include Samuel (c. 1830-1871), Stephen (c. 1838-1860), and George (c. 1838-????). An Anna NORTON (c. 1834-????) is enumerated with Katherine and Anna WETZLER in the 1860 and 1870 censuses and may be a sister of Katherine. A Helen NORTON (b. c. 1862), probably Anna's daughter, is enumerated with this family in 1870. I'm seeking information on Katherine WETZLER's parents and siblings, and also want to establish Anna and Helen NORTON's relationship to the WETZLER family.

QryText:WALES, McMAHON Samuel S. WALES (1828-1907) settled in Burlington, IA after serving in the Civil War (Co. K, 5th Wisconsin Infantry). He married Katherine Helen WETZLER (1832- 1896). They had the following children: Augustus (1867- 1890), Thomas Francis (1869-1934), Clara Foote (c. 1871- ????; m. Martin McMAHON), and George A. (1873-19??). Clara McMAHON lived in Colorado for an unknown period of time before Samuel's death in 1907; Augustus died in Peoria, IL; George A. was living with his brother Thomas and family in Burlington in 1900. QryText:BAKER, BRENNAN, WALES, WARREN Joseph WARREN (1824?-1915) immigrated to the U.S. from Ireland in 1854. He married Delia [BRENNAN? c. 1833-1924] c. 1856. Delia was also an Irish immigrant, arriving in the U.S. in 1846. This couple was living in Burlington by 1860. Both died in Burlington and are buried in Sixth Street Catholic Cemetery with four of their children. According to the 1900 and 1910 U.S. census records, Delia Warren gave birth to eight children. Yet I have nine names. The following four children are buried with Joseph and Delia: Frank, Clara, George, and Little Ettie. (Unfortunately, no birth or death dates for the children are listed on the marker.) The following six names appear in census records: Michael R. (b. c. 1856), Clara A. (b. c. 1858), Joseph F. (b. 1860), Charles (b. c. 1864), Katherine (1867-1928; m. Thomas F. WALES), and Anna (b. 1876; m. John N. BAKER). So Clara is accounted for, but what about those other three names on the headstone? Is Joseph F. WARREN the "Frank" named on the marker? What about George and Little Ettie? I'd be interested in corresponding with anyone connected with this family, and I am happy to share information.
