Born March 10, 1916, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Ralph Charles and Phoebe F. Jaeger Freitag. On Oct. 19, 1937, she married Dr. Edward J. Schach. He died Sept. 2, 1964. On Jan. 17, 1970, she married Raymond Kenneth Pearson in Rockford, Ill. Mrs. Pearson was a homemaker. She also worked as a cashier at Three Theaters in Burlington. She was a member of First Methodist Church, the Eleanor Copeland Circle of King's Daughters, AARP and was a former member of the Burlington Golf Club. She taught violin in the Burlington area for many years and loved to play the organ. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Pam Schach of Altoona and Vickie Olson of Bettendorf; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Visitation will begin after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Pearson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Tevis officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
