Steingreaber Cemetery has been designated a Pioneer Cemetery by the Des Moines County Pioneer Cemetery Commission.

Located about 50 yards southeast of the clubhouse at Flint Hills Golf Course.

The 1905 book Biographical Review of Des Moines County Iowa, on pages 202 through 206 has a sketch of Walter G. Steingreaber. It talks about his settlement on the family farm four miles north of Burlington on Irish Ridge Road. The article says his father Charles was buried on the family farm in 1889 and his mother Henrietta was buried there in 1893.
