CARTER FAMILY PLOT
This Union Township cemetery is located within the
Iowa Army Ammunition Plant. A sign erected by IAAP officials says that the Carter family lived in a log cabin nearby. All members of the family were found dead, presumed victims of cholera. The family was buried in a common and unmarked grave.
