Frank E. Thompson
Senator from the Ninth district, composed of Des Moines county, was born in
Grand View, Iowa, December 13, 1873, his parents are both natives of Iowa, of
Scotch-English lineage. He was educated in the pubic and high schools of
Winfield and Muscatine, and the State University of Iowa, graduating from the
law department with the class of 1896, commenced the practice of law in
Burlington in 1896, and has practiced continuously in said city from that
date. Has served as chairman of the repubican county central committee, and
county attorney of his county. Was married August 22, 1894, to Lillian
Russell. Elected senator in 1914, re-elected in 1918. A republican in
politics.
