How To Query

Introducing the New Des Moines County Boards sponsored by IowaGenWeb

Introduction:

Since GenConnect combined all their boards to one board and made it more difficult for  users, we  stopped using that system.

We encourage everyone to post to our State level board  system which provides better local control.

This new board system will display postings like you are accustomed, and it has some exciting new features we think you will enjoy.

Click on the Board Link to the right to go to the actual board.

You may view information already posted, or you may add to the board, by using the "Post New Message" link.

The various Boards are intended for the posting of specific information as indicated in the title of each Board.

Please be sure when posting information that you are not quoting from any copyrighted material (this is especially important for Obituaries and Biographies; when in doubt, summarize or paraphrase) and that you are listing sources for the information.

Abstracts are acceptable where appropriate.

Why Post Your Family Info Here?

Using the Des Moines County Boards is the easiest way for researchers to share information in an efficient  manner. This information will be available in a searchable format for years to come. We encourage those who visit the boards to not only search for information that might be useful to them, but to also "leave behind" a little of their own research so that other's might share in what each submitter has learned about their own ancestors. This can be done by posting Obit. info, Bible Records, etc. that may enable other researchers to find you" through a trail you've left behind.

Thanks!
