Sunday, August 23, the Davis City Park was the scene of the GRAHAM family reunion. MRS. M.E. GRAHAM, one of the oldest residents of Decatur County and all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to the number of sixty-eight, gathered on the bank of picturesque old Grand River for a picnic dinner. The table was heaped with good things to eat, such as fried chicken, cake etc. After dinner many pictures were taken to commemorate the event, and it was decided to make it an annual gathering.
MRS. M.E. GRAHAM has resided all her life on a farm southeast of Davis City. Here her nine children were reared. It was an enjoyable event to all, since all her children were present. Those being MRS. ALLIE HENDERSON; MR. and MRS. BEN HAGAN; MR. and MRS. CLAUDE MILLER and families, all of Pleasanton, Iowa; MR. and MRS. CHARLES GRAHAM; MR. and MRS. ED GRAHAM; MR. and MRS. FRANK GRAHAM and families; MR. and MRS. BERT GRAHAM; MR. and MRS. GRANT GRAHAM, all of Davis City, and MR. and MRS. EPHRAIM GRAHAM; MR. WM. GRAHAM, Leon, Iowa; and MRS. VIOLA LANDPHAIR, Pleasanton, Iowa, a brother and sister of MRS. GRAHAM were also present.
