TAGGART - Peter TAGGART, an aged inmate of the Saints' Home, died at that institution, Sunday night at ten o'clock. His death was caused by concussion of the brain caused by a fall. He had fallen down the back steps of the basement of the Saints' Home building at ten o'clock Sunday morning, striking on his head. He never regained consciousness. Deceased was born in New York in 1820. Moved to Michigan in an early day, and engaged as a boatman on Lake Michigan. His wife died some years ago, leaving him no children. Mr. TAGGART had been at the Home five years. He was an industrious old man, well liked by the managers and inmates. Interment in Rosehill, funeral at the Home Tuesday at ten, sermon by Elder Amos BERVE of Kewanee, Ill., an old-time friend of the deceased.
