Elsie Marie Trembly was born Dec. 16, 1901, in New Buda, Decatur County, IA., to Claude and Eva (Goble) Merritt, and died June 4, 1994, at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center, Indianola, IA., at the age of 92 years, 3 months.

Elsie was married June 8, 1924, to William Clark Trembly (Radio Bill), and the couple had nine children. In addition to these children, Elsie's brother Carl and sister Dorothy lived with them. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting afghans, sewing club, and was a longtime member of the Humeston Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, sister, daughter Linda Mendenhall, and grandson Curtis Comegys.

Survivors include five sons: Don Trembly and wife Marjorie, Pueblo West, CO; Bill Trembly and wife Frances, Rudd, IA; Walt Trembly and wife Sally, Indianola, IA; and Ray Trembly and wife Judy, Humeston, IA; Three daughters: Della Dale and husband Everett, Caldwell, ID; Virginia Street, Callesbell, MT; and Donna Zieber and husband Duffy, Boise, ID; brother, Carl Merritt and wife Mary, Caldwell; 27 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
