FUNERAL SERVICES ARE CONDUCTED FOR MRS. NANCY TONEY

[died 1943]

Funeral services were held at the Hofmann mortuary Wednesday for Mrs. Nancy

Jane Toney, 69 of 1030 West Elk place, who died Thursday at a Pueblo

hospital after several years of failing health. Burial was in Riverside

cemetery.

Mrs. Toney was born in Jasper County, Ia., April 9, 1874. She was married

in Iowa in 1896 to Lewis C. Toney, with whom she came to Denver a few years

later. He died in June, 1942. She was a member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are five children, Lewis E., Emory J. and Ira D. Toney and Mrs.

Gladys M. Gibson, all of Denver, and Mrs. Dorothea G. Horton of San Antonio,

Tex.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mae Robertson of Lamoni, Ia., and Mrs. Eva

Ross of Burlington, Ia.; one brother, Nile Jackson of Des Moines, Ia.; two

sisters, Mrs. Mary Foltz of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Emma Morrow of Denver, and

twelve grandchildren.
