MARGERY JUANITA TONEY
Margery Juanita Toney was born Oct. 6th, 1916 and died May 10th, 1918, aged
1 year, 7 months and 4 days.
She was the youngest child of Lawrence C. and Nora M. Toney. She had been
in poor health for some time past and about ten days ago was taken violently
ill with pneumonia, and although everything was done that could be done to
stay the hand of death but nothing could prevail against the dread monster
death, who had come to claim her as his own, and on the 10th day of May her
spirit winged its way back to the God who gave it and on the 11th day of
May, her body was laid to rest in the beautiful I. O. O. F. cemetery at
Davis City, Iowa, followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends.
Deceased leaves father, mother, and six sisters to mourn her early
departure, one brother having preceded her in death.
Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. Shugg, pastor of the M.
E. church at Davis City, Iowa. The singing was in charge of Mrs. A. F.
Radnich, after which G. F. Henderson, the undertaker took charge of the
remains which was laid to rest there to await the resurrection morn.
