EDITH BOSWELL TIFFT
Edith Olive Boswell, daughter of Joseph and Elvira Boswell, was born Nov.
30, 1880, near Davis City, Iowa. She grew to Womanhood in that neighborhood
and attended Stringtown School.
For the past several years she lived in Brainerd, Minn., with her husband,
Julius Tifft, who passed away April 3, 1963.
She was a member of the Christian church and also a volunteer worker for the
Salvation Army in Brainerd.
She was one of eight children, all of whom have passed away except one
sister, Mrs. Elnora Hedges of Lamoni. She also leaves several nieces,
nephews and cousins in Iowa. Ollie, as she was called, had but one child,
who died in infancy.
She passed away at the Brainerd Nursing Home Nov. 17, 1968, ' at the age of
87 years, 11 months and 18 days, and was laid to rest beside her husband on
Nov. 20, 1968, in the Brainerd cemetery.
She was a good friend and neighbor, always anxious to help those suffering
or in need, and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
