The funeral services of F.M. THOMPSON, conducted by the Van Wert Post
assisted by the Weldon Post, are worthy of commendation.  MR. THOMPSON
belonged to the Van Wert Post and is the first comrade to be buried as a
member of this post.  The evolutions provided in the ritual were well
executed under Commander W.H. TODD of Van Wert and Commander JOHN
WALLACE of Weldon.  The regular service in the cemetery was interspersed
with appropriate and beautiful hymns which added much to the impressive
ceremony.

The immense crowd in attendance assures the mourning friends of the high
esteem held for the deceased.
