CHARLES W. TWITCHELL, who for many years has been calling upon the

printing establishments in Leon and in the other towns in this territory

in the interest of the Chicago Newspaper Union, died in a hotel at Coin,

on Tuesday, February l2th, of pneumonia. MR. TWITCHELL made his last

call at this office in January and was suffering with a severe cold at

the time. He continued his trip, however, until he reached Coin where

he was compelled to seek his bed and his death followed in a few days.

MR. TWITCHELL had recently been made a member of the Elks Lodge at

Maryville, Mo., his home, and the lodge sent representatives to Coin to

see that he received every attention and the services of the most

capable physicians. MR. TWITCHELL was one of the best known and most

popular traveling salesmen in the paper trade and his visits were always

welcomed by his many customers and friends.
