Subject: OBITUARY - PARIS STILL.

April l3, l899

PARIS STILL died at his home in Eden Township, April 4, l899, aged 43

years, 7 months and l day.

He was born and reared in this county and has resided in this

neighborhood all his life with the exception of two or three years spent

in Taylor County, this state. Brother STILL expressed faith in Christ

in December, l874, during a series of meetings conducted by Rev. A.

Stanley; and united with the New Salem Baptist Church and has ever since

been willing to bear testimony for the Master.

He was married November 2, l879, to MISS GEORGIANA DELONG. To this

union were born eight children, six of whom still live, two dying in

infancy. Brother STILL, during his recent illness, bore his suffering

most patiently. He was followed to his last resting place by a large

number of relatives and friends, and laid to rest at the side of his

children in New Salem Cemetery.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.H. Hamilton, of Decatur.

The bereaved wife and children have the profound sympathy of their many

friends. May God bless and help them to live that when life's work is

ended they may all meet at the right hand of God.
