WELDON NEWS: MRS. STANDISH, wife of WM. STANDISH, died at her late home
near Weldon, Friday, after an illness of two weeks. She was one of the
pioneers of this community, having come with her husband and family from
Ohio soon after the civil war.

The funeral was held at the home Saturday afternoon, the sermon being
preached by Elder C.L. Organ, pastor of the Christian Church. Interment
was at the Green Bay Cemetery.
