MILES STANDISH, a lineal descendant of Capt. Miles Standish of Plymouth

fame, was born at Warnick, Rhode Island, September 23, l830, and removed

with his parents to Delaware County, Ohio, in l837, where he was married

to ROSE ANNE LEASURE, March 3, l86l. To them was born one child, a son,

who died at the age of 2 l/2 years. He moved to Decatur County, Iowa,

in l870, where he located on a farm near Westerville, at which place he

continued to reside until his death, which occurred October 29, l898,

aged 68 years, l month and 6 days. He leaves to mourn his loss, his

faithful wife, two brothers, one living at Weldon, one in California,

and one sister residing in Columbus, Ohio.
