CHRISTINA SPARGUR was born in Highland County, Ohio, August l, l8l3,

where she grew up to womanhood and was married to JOSEPH BEAVERS, and

then removed to this place in l855.

Thirteen children were born to them, ten of whom still survive, and nine

were with her in her last illness. Her husband preceded her to the

spirit world by several years. MRS. BEAVERS had a stroke of paralysis

about two weeks since. All was done for her that was possible, but all

was of no avail. She continued to grow weaker until Sunday, about half

past one o'clock when she quietly sank to rest.

She was a consistent Christian, being a member of the Dunkard Church,

and died in triumphs of a living faith leaving a large circle of friends

and relatives to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted by REV. L.M.

KOBB at her late residence, and the body was laid at rest in the

cemetery here by the side of her husband.
