Subject: OBITUARY - LIZZIE S. SNYDER.

LIZZIE S. SNYDER was born in Washington County, Maryland, Dec. 30, l842,

and died at her home in Grand River, Iowa, July l6, l903, at the age of

60 years, 6 months and l6 days. She was married to GEORGE SNYDER in

l860, and to this union were born five children, two girls and three

boys. In l88l they moved to Decatur County, Iowa, where they lived

until l897, when they moved to Wyoming where they remained two years,

returning to Grand River in l899, where they made their home until death

came to claim them.

Two of the children and her husband had gone on before. Two sons and a

daughter, all of whom were at her bedside during her sickness and death,

remain to mourn the loss of their good mother. They have the sympathy

of the community. The funeral services were held from the M.E. Church,

conducted by the pastor. Interment was made at the Young Cemetery,

where she was followed by a large number of friends.
