family of nine children; five girls and four boys. MRS. MITTEN was
married the second time to Rev. CYRUS SMITH, May 28, l902, with whom she
lived happily until the day of her death.
She had been in poor health for over a year, when on the l7th inst.

of the Rebekah Lodge.
Her funeral obsequies were held in the M.E. Church, Sunday, November

Thus passed away a good woman whose life work was done, who has at last
entered into rest. She was highly esteemed in society and the church,
though retiring in manner of life.
Thou art gone to the grave; but we will not deplore thee;
Whose God was thy ransom, thy guardian and guide;
He gave thee, he took thee and he will restore thee;
And death has no sting for the Savior has died.
A.M.P.
