CORA MYRTLE GUNTER was born June 23, l875, and departed this life,
December l4, l904. She was the youngest daughter of MR. and MRS. JOHN
F. GUNTER. She was united in marriage to SAMUEL SMITH, May 29, l896.
To this union four children have been born; GLEN, FRANK, MAY and
RAYMOND, all of whom with the father, three sisters, two brothers and a
mother live to mourn the loss of a loving mother, devoted wife,
sympathetic sister and daughter.

Deceased was sick but a few days. She realized that death was near and
called her friends and relatives to her bedside and bid them goodbye,
saying she was going to see her dear old father who daparted this life
but seven weeks before. A few minutes before her death, she sang a
verse of the favorite old hymn, Beautiful Zion, and prayed aloud a most
beautiful prayer, asking all of her friends and relatives to meet her in
Heaven, she closed her eyes in death. May she rest in peace with God.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hubbell at the Christian Church
the following day and interment in Leon Cemetery.
