EDGAR, son of L.H. and E.M. SHOEMAKER, was born in Davis City, December
2, l896, and died Thursday, July 3l, l902, aged 5 years, 7 months, 29
days. His last illness was of a week's duration during which time all
that care and medical attention could do, was done, but to no avail.
EDGAR was a bright child, well known and well liked by all. He will be
greatly missed by his playmates as well as by the fond parents and his
two brothers, but surely God had need of him in his Kingdom and he was
borne upward by the angels to be a gem among the treasures of Heaven.

Funeral services were held in the M.E. Church Friday afternoon,
conducted by Rev. I.N. Woodward, of Leon, and the little body laid to
rest in the Davis City Cemetery.
