RACHEL KATE PERDUE was born in Leon, December 3, l872, and was married

to F.W. SEARS, May 9, l894. She died at her home in Center Township,

September 8, l90l, at 8:30 p.m., aged 29 years, 9 months and 5 days.

She united with the M.E. Church in Leon during the winter of l89l and

with the Progressive Brethren in the fall of l896. She was a faithful

member of both churches and a loving wife and mother. Funeral services

were held at Crown Chapel Tuesday morning at ll o'clock by Rev. W.H.

Ilsley. There was a large attendance. Burial occurred in the Dunkard

Church Cemetery.
