OBITUARY

Chester Clyde, son of Leander and Louisa Pullin , ws born July 2, 1883, on a farm near Decatur, Iowa and departed this life June 25, 1952, at his home in Leon, Iowa after a lingering illness at the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 27 days. He was united in marriage to Rosetta Gray at Leon, Iowa. To this union seven children were born. In the year of 1917 he was saved and recieved the Baptisim of the Holy Ghost at Tuskeego where Rev. Asberry Johnson was conducting church services. That has always been his faith and belief. He lived on a farm near Decatur until after the death of his wife on October 27, 1935, then in the spring of 1936 he moved to Leon with his children where he bought a home in the northeast part of town where he was living at the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his departure his seven children: Mrs. Elva Cooper and Vernon Pullin of Des Moines, Iowa, Jasper Pullin, of Colo, Iowa, Mrs. Flossie Earley, of Leon, and evelyn McKee, whose husband is in the U.S. Army, Shelby and Darrell of the home. Three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Miller, of Leon, Iowa, Mrs Ada McDowell, of Osceola, Iowa, Mrs. Edith Dobson of Decatur, Iowa. Five grandchildren, and a host if other relatives and many freinds.

Funeral services were held from the Stewart Funeral hime Saturday, June 28, 12952, at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Geo. R. Lamb, Assembly of God Church Pastor. Sinfers were Mrs. Edith Gumm, Mrs. Eva Lamb. Interment being made in the Decatur Cemetery beside his wife.
